Primary School

1981 - 1989

As everyone who reaches the age of 7 I decided to start my education at No.41 Primary School in Sosnowiec. It took me only 5 minutes to get there on foot. I was assigned to class A. In the first class there weren't many subjects so I received the certificate with a general A grade. From the very beginning our tutor organised a lot of class parties, at which I was dressed up as Sindbad, Musketeer Portos and other heroes. Among the subjects I especially liked maths, which I was taught in turn by: Jadwiga Kunowska, Iwon Jarża and Bogdan Kuliński. Jerzy Kluza talked about history in a very interesting way. He also taught how to react to a potential explosion of an atomic bomb(...). During geography classes Mrs Joanna Kilian finally persuaded me that the Blue Planet is round and the Sun motionless. In the 4th class I started learning English and in the 5th - Russian. Also in the 4th class, together with my mates we formed a football team called MKS Victoria. We played regular matches with students from other classes - both younger and older ones.

In the last 8th class, during our technical lessons we created a school garden, where one could test oneself as a would-be farm or orchard owner. In my maths classes I was the first to present the Pythagorean theorem on time. At the end of the 8th class my first serious ball took place - so called "komers". That's why I enrolled on a dance course. I did well in a 60-metre run and I generally had good grades in PE. For 8 years my PE teacher was Roman Hartel. Hygienist took care of my health and proper development. In my last years at Primary School I took part in the Contest of Primary School Knowledge of Russian and Chemistry. In the 8th class I did a lot of research, from which I made the annual school statistical report, which shows among others that days in which class 8A was actually learning constituted 59% of all schooldays, 26 tests were done and a single pupil spent 4,320 old zlotys = 0.43PLN.

As I was a diligent pupil I finished this school being on the honor roll and receiving the additional award for my very good results and excellent conduct. As a memento of this event I asked all my classmates and teachers to put their signatures on the same card. During my education at Primary School I received a few book rewards.
